Happy birthday to the Dystopia Queen!

It's Suzanne Collins birthday!  We have some more time to wait until the next Hunger Games movie comes out, so in honor of her birthday, why not give another dystopian novel a try?  Here are some DPL has in its teen collection~

Article 5 by Kristen Simmons: Seventeen-year-old Ember Miller has perfected the art of keeping a low profile in a future society in which Moral Statutes have replaced the Bill of Rights and offenses carry stiff penalties, but when Chase, the only boy she has ever loved, arrests her rebellious mother, Ember must take action.  (book 2 = Breaking Point, book 3 = Three)
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld: Just before their sixteenth birthdays, when they will will be transformed into beauties whose only job is to have a great time, Tally's best friend runs away and Tally must find her and turn her in, or never become pretty at all.  (book 2 = Pretties, book 3 = Specials, book 4 = Extras)
Pirate Cinema by Cory Doctorow: In a dystopian, near-future Britain, sixteen-year-old Trent, obsessed with making movies on his computer, joins a group of artists and activists who are trying to fight a new bill that will criminalize even more harmless internet creativity.
Across the Universe by Beth Revis:  Teenaged Amy, a cryogenically frozen passenger on the spaceship Godspeed, wakes up to discover that someone may have tried to murder her.  (book 2 = A Million Suns, book 3 = Shades of Earth)
Delirium by Lauren Oliver: Lena looks forward to receiving the government-mandated cure that prevents the delirium of love and leads to a safe, predictable, and happy life, until ninety-five days before her eighteenth birthday and her treatment, when she falls in love. (book 2 = Pandemonium, book 3 = Requiem)
Matched by Ally Condie:  All her life, Cassia has never had a choice. The Society dictates everything: when and how to play, where to work, where to live, what to eat and wear, when to die, and most importantly to Cassia as she turns 17, whom to marry. When she is Matched with her best friend Xander, things couldn't be more perfect. But why did her neighbor Ky's face show up on her match disk as well? (book 2 = Crossed, book 3 = Reached)
Legend by Marie Lu: In a dark future, when North America has split into two warring nations, fifteen-year-olds Day, a famous criminal, and prodigy June, the brilliant soldier hired to capture him, discover that they have a common enemy. (book 2 = Prodigy, book 3 = Champion)
There are many more...if you've read all these, come talk to me!  Dystopian is one of my favorite subgenres!
